Who will you walk for? This year thousands of people will walk for everyone affected by dementia. By taking part in Memory Walk, you will be helping to support everyone living with dementia now and in the future.

Story

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. It has already taken away our Granny Apple and our Dad/ Grandad Roy and we want to do all we can to help families still going through this heartbreaking journey.

Having to watch 2 of the most important people in our lives slowly fade away from us has been one of the most heart wrenching and difficult experiences of my life so far and although finding a cure would be the ultimate goal from fundraising, in the "here and now" I would like to help others suffering from dementia and for their families to receive the right support and advice during that overwhelming process. Dementia can be a lonely place for everyone involved and that is something I feel we all have the power to help with.

Both Betsy and I want to make our family proud, the family still with us and those watching down on us.

Thank you all so much in advance for your love and support 💙

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
