Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My mum was the strongest, kindest woman I will ever meet. Her practicality and driven sensibility was like nothing I could hope to encounter again. She will always be my idol. I know she touched the lives of many and so I have put together this just giving page so that those of you who wish to can donate in her memory. She requested donations to CancerCare in place of flowers and so we hope that you will help to honour her wishes. Cancer has been a prominent part of my family's history and has taken the lives of all the women on my mother's side for generations. My mum had cancer twice and found CancerCare to be a great help through the emotional turmoil that it caused.

Late diagnosis ensured mum's death so I will also take this opportunity to ask people to please push for referral if you feel there is something not right. Early diagnosis saves lives but you won't get a diagnosis easily with the system we currently have in place so do not take no for an answer. She was only 62 but lived each second to the fullest. Thank you for all /any donations no matter how big or small.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
