Story
I am attempting raise awareness and money for Diabetes UK by running the Great Manchester 10k in May, the Great North 10k in July and then the Great North Half Marathon in September.
The reason for choosing Diabetes UK is a very special little boy I know was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 3. Type 1 is the genetic type and is an auto-immune disease and since that day in December 2011 his life has never and will never be the same. He has to have his blood sugars checked around 5 times a day and has to have his meals weighed out for him. Not only that he has to have between 4 and 8 injections daily to regulate his blood sugars and cannot leave home without an emergency kit.
If you would like to help me raise money and awareness for this life changing illness then please donate via JustGiving. It is an easy, fast and simple way to donate.
Thanks for taking the time to read this email.
