At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello :)

So on September the 22nd I'm taking part in a 6 mile Memory Walk, from Brighton to Hove along the seafront in memory of my greatgrandma Alma and all the people I work with who have dementia. It's probably going to be raining, freezing and horrible weather but worth the cause and help raise awareness of dementia.

There are about 700,00 people in the UK with dementia already and the numbers are increasing. Dementia is not just a disease that affects the elderly as younger people in their 50s, 40s and even 30s can develop early onset dementia and 1 in 3 people over 65 will die with dementia.

Please sponsor me to help find a cure for this horrible disease, and improve the quality of life for those alreadty living with it.

Your donations will help Alzheimer's Society to continue its work to provide information and support to families affected by dementia but also to continue its search for a cure.

Please remember to tick Gift Aid as it increases the value of your donations to the Society :)

Thank you!
