Story
I am running the London Marathon in April 2015 for Diabetes UK.
This will be my 7th marathon; however this marathon is by far the most important to me. Not only will I be running in London which has been my home for the last 5 years, I am also running to raise money and awareness for Diabetes UK – something that has become very important to me lately. I now have first hand knowledge of the difficulties people face every single day when living with diabetes, and I can vouch that running a marathon can be like taking a Sunday stroll in comparison.
Diabetes UK is the leading charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes. There are currently 3.8 million people in the UK with diabetes, including an estimated 630,000 people who have Type 2 diabetes but do not know it.
So… I have never asked my friends and family to donate to
me before, but I have never been so passionate about a charity. All
donations (no matter how great or small) will be gratefully received.
Thanks for your support
