Story
Our NHS have done an incredible job and we have decided to utilise our time in order to support them and make a difference. We have set an ambitious target to run 2,000km as a team. Our rules are simple - it must be a run, not a walk, and the only factor we consider is the distance covered whilst running.
After considering many worthy causes, our team decided upon supporting the NHS because of their incredible work and commitment during the pandemic. COVID-19 has had a great impact on the NHS - not only the virus but the strain on the other services they offer including support with the mental affects of being in lockdown and not being able to do the things we love.
Our love is football and whilst we cannot wait until we can play again, we want to do our bit and save lives. Fitness and healthy living is important to reduce the reliance on our health service. We believe that doing our bit is not only to raise money for the cause but also to maintain a healthy way of living.
We have set our target of 2,000km - it's a big challenge and one that will not be easy. It will require our whole team to be involved as well as the coaches of the team contributing too. We will keep our progress updated on our Twitter page @ChelmsfordEJA18.
We ask that you give us your support by donating to the cause. Our NHS have been nothing short of sensational and your donation will help them give the life changing treatments and services they need.
We will run for our hero's. You can show your support by donating!
Thank you,
Chelmsford City FC U18's - EJA
