Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which has been set up in memory of my Mum, the wonderful Gill.
Mum bravely fought through breast cancer for six years undergoing two courses or chemotherapy, a mastectomy and subsequent lung disease and I don't know how she did it but she smiled through almost every minute. She never grumbled and she just got on with it. She very sadly passed away on 3rd May 2012 and towards the end of Mum's life, Macmillan nurses were there to offer the specialised knowledge, support and care that she so needed.
Jennie, my cousin, and I wanted to do something in memory of Mum so have duly signed up to run the Bristol Half Marathon on 30th September to raise money for Macmillan so that other people like her (and their families) can continue to benefit from such specialised care when they need it most.
Best foot forward... dust off the running shoes and here goes the training.... (GULP!!)
