Did you ever think you would see the day when the words Charlotte West, Running and Marathon would be in the same sentence! The time has finally come for me to endure a marathon for the sake of The National Austistic Society. My amazing Mum runs every year, this will be her 7th, and I have the pleasure this year of running alongside her - rather me moaning and groaning all the way, I don't know whether it will be much of a pleasure on her part!

I have always said I want to complete a marathon but would only be able to do it with the support from my Mum, family and friends. As you know my Mum takes part every year for one special reason and for a a very special person. Sam West, my one-of-a-kind little brother! Sam has severe autism, with no speech he finds it difficult to communicate with the world, which makes his life very tough and incredibly stressful, yet we wouldn't change him! Events like the marathon raise a little more awareness every time, which is the most important factor in understanding autism and its affects. 

So please help me in raising money for people like Sam, to make a difference and to create more of an understanding. Also come and just laugh at ME, running a marathon!
