Your donation will make a huge difference to the poorest in Uganda. I have seen this for myself after a visit in May - the sickest, the weakest and the poorest have their lives transformed through the partnership that TEAR Fund supports with local churches caring for their communities.  The cycle of poverty is broken.  Over and over I heard the refrain "I realise I am not born to be a beggar."  Your donation will go towards training trainers in this process, so that local communities can live from their own resources, and live in a self-sustaining way.

Poverty has such a cruel grip - one thing that I saw was no time for leisure.  Charlie and I have time.  We have food,  We have energy.  We are a bit achey - but we have legs and can run - So please cheer us on, and the people who need to be freed from a life without hope.
