Story
Although there have been amazing fundraising efforts for NHS and charities supporting those directly impacted by Covid, there are still many amazing charities that need support in order to continue to exist. Last year I walked 20 miles along the Jurassic coast to raise much needed funds, and this year I’d like to walk 34 miles in my birthday month to help them when they need it most.
The pandemic represents the most significant threat in Trekstock's history. The cancellation of crucial Spring fundraising activities has resulted in a substantial drop in income.
The charity needs to raise £34,000 to continue providing services for the 34 young people every day that are diagnosed with cancer. However small, your donation will ensure Trekstock is there for young adults at this time of national crisis and for many years to come.
About Trekstock: 34 young adults are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Trekstock gets them moving physically and socially, through and beyond cancer. During this time that statistic has not changed. The demand for Trekstock's services has only increased and your donation will ensure young adults are supported during this crisis. Trekstock is determined to be there for their community during this crisis - but they can't do it without your support. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed life for everyone, but young adults living through and beyond cancer are among the hardest hit. Most are at increased risk and strictly self-isolating, they're anxious about their treatment plans and feeling more alone than ever. That's why Trekstock's services are more vital than ever.
