It's shocking to think that people who live a few streets away from us could be living in poverty so we're raising money for Wood Street Mission - here's a little bit about what they do:

“Wood Street Mission helps local children and families in Manchester and Salford with everyday items like clothing, bedding, baby equipment toys and books.  We distribute Eggs at Easter and new toys and Gifts at Christmas alongside providing each family with a food hamper to help them over the holiday periods.  We also give new school uniform to children who would otherwise not have a uniform for the start of the new school year and we hold Children’s Books Clubs in each school holiday to encourage children to engage in reading more.

All the children we help are affected by poverty.  It costs just £25 for Wood Street to support a child for a full year so every penny you kindly donate today really will make a huge difference to a local child’s life”
