On July 31st Casper Beentjes and I are competing in the 2016 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100. It's a 100 mile timed cycling sportive along much of the 2012 Olympic Road Race route including climbs of the infamous Leith Hill & Box Hill in Surrey.

We are doing this to raise money for the Isaiah Trust, a charity working tirelessly on the streets of Kisumu, the third largest city in Kenya, to help rebuild the lives of some of the 70,000 street children currently living in some of the most appalling conditions imaginable. The Trust has established a number of programs, from outreach and rehabilitation to
training and education, giving some of Kenya’s most vulnerable children orphaned by Aids and tribal conflict hope of a new life. The charity runs two small homes to give the children full time care and to help them grow accustomed to life away from the streets; enabling them to return to school and helping them find apprenticeship programmes.

£40 will keep a child in full time care for a month and £10 will buy school books. The impact every donation will make is really that significant and we can guarantee every penny raised will be put to good use giving these desperate children a chance to achieve something better.
