Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 30th January 2014 i was diagnosed with a very rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (translocation between chromazomes 6&9) defining high risk. I have subsequently been an in patient on ward 84 for: 4 months 4 Days,17 Weeks 5 days,124 Days or 2976 hours without a break.
On the 7/7/14 I was readmitted to the Transplant Unit for a Bone Marrow Transplant. I spent 6 weeks in total isolation with just a small TV that was pay per view after 7 at night and no internet access, so I would like to raise enough money to provide each of the 7 isolation rooms with a decent size TV that you don't have to pay for and wifi internet.
Since my transplant I have had 2 further stays in hospital with complications and am now fighting Graft Versus Host Disease and having ECP Treatment (Extra Corporeal Photopheresis) as an outpatient on ward 84 Day-case, I have about another 8 or 9 months treatment then hopefully I will be OK.
I have recently become a patient ambassador for Another great charity Kidscan who research kinder treatments for children's cancer this is very close to my heart as my treatment has left me with lifelong disabilities, I now have to walk with a crutch.
All my fundraising will be split between RMCH Charity and Kidscan.
So please give generously. Thank You ...
