Story

Myself and my brother- in-law Dave will be taking part in the Brentwood half marathon (March 2024) to raise as much as we can for a charity that is very close to our hearts following the sad passing of our cousins daughter Orla.

In 2022 Orla was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour (a medulloblastoma), sadly she lost her fight with this dreadful disease in August 2023.  Since then her parents Adam and Naomi have been raising funds to help with the building of a new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormand Street Hospital.  This centre will enable families to stay together whilst their child is receiving treatment.

There will be a dedicated ICU for cancer patients, outdoor play areas and most importantly help create breakthrough therapies which will benefit children all over the world.  Orla was only 2 when she was lost to this disease, we know her family are thankful for the care and help they received at GOSH but they could also see how The Children's Cancer Centre could be a vital aid to children/parents going through similar experiences.

We please ask for any donation to create this centre in Orlas name.

Thank you, Charlie and Dave
