Story
Welcome to my JustGiving page!!
I have always wanted to run the marathon and I decided that this year was the year for me.
I had always hoped to run the marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust, a a charity I have supported since I first heard about them at the age of 13, so when they accepted my bid for a place I was over the moon (/ terrified that I subsequently had to run 26 miles). The work they do for teenagers with cancer and the support they give to their families is remarkable and I am so pleased to be able to run the marathon for a charity I hugely believe in.
I have been training a lot, but more astonishing to me than the distances I am running is the muscles that ache that I never knew existed!
I have just ran 18 miles which was quite frankly exhausting (and not helped by gale force winds and getting very lost in Wapping!) but it felt great to know I could do it. I will keep this page updated with my progress.
I will be so grateful for any donations and it really does feel great to know that I am at least permanently waddling around the office for a good cause!
Thanks,
Charlie / Charlotte
