Story
We are Pap and grandson duo, Richard and Charlie. Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We're running the Great South Run together in memory of Pauline Finney (Richard's wife) who passed this time last year. During her treatment, the Marie Curie nurses were brilliant with her - and nothing was too much to ask of them.
In preparation for the run, I (Charlie) will also be completing the Berlin Marathon in September - my first ever marathon!
What do Marie Curie do?
🧑🏻⚕️ - Last year they helped care for 69,000 patients living with terminal illness and their families
🧪 - They research into terminal illness to find better ways to care for end of life patients
📢 - Marie Curie actively campaign for better end of life care to ensure everyone has high quality care and support, when and where they need it.
💷 - Just a £20 donation can pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone with a terminal illness!
Everything Marie Curie do depends on the generous donations of supporters. Around two-thirds of the money they spend each year comes from the people, companies and trusts who decide to support them. The remaining third comes from the NHS.
For families like ours, Marie Curie is there to help with practical information and support on all aspects of life with terminal illness, dying and bereavement.
