John Thornton was a young man who took part in the very same course that I am doing but was tragically killed in combat in Afghanistan.

His parents set up the charity in his memory and now they do wonderful work helping young people all over the UK and world.

For the past few months I have been completing the Junior Leaders course, which culminates in a 10 day period known as test phase.
