Story
So this really is happening everybody! After many years enthusiastically supporting the London Marathon runners from the sidelines (or from the comfort of my own living room!) I’m now putting on my trainers and running the 26.2 miles on the 21st April 2013 for RNIB.
Anyone who knows me will recognise that I’m NOT a natural athlete! I therefore have to work pretty hard to clock up all those miles and training is going well (except for Sunday mornings!)
I am raising money for the RNIB because of the fantastic work they do to support the blind and partially sighted. My boyfriend's grandpa (John) has Retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a degenerative eye condition, and over the last 20 years he has received excellent support from RNIB. From talking books to computer volunteers they have helped John. RNIB support people of all ages and I am very proud to be running for this excellent charity.
I know it is not a good time to be asking for your money but any small donation would be gratefully received. Many thanks.
Here is the legal bit: donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
