Story
In 2017 I cycled over 8,000 miles from London to China raising money for Meningitis Now. This October I will be taking on the tougher challenge of running 26.2 miles in the London Marathon in aid of Meningitis Now!
Luke was the son of our family friends growing up. I never met him, as he sadly passed the year I was born. But his legacy was the campaign by his family to spread awareness about Meningitis.
I still remember the countless times, I was checked for signs of a rash, a glass rolled over my skin, asked to look into a light by my parents when I fell ill.
Vanessa, Luke’s mum, together with her family have been fundraising since 1992. This Year I am proud to step up and take on a terrifying 26.2 miles around London.
Please spare a small donation of £5 to £10, in Luke’s name and help MeningitisNow continue their incredible work and support.
Thank you,
Charlie
