Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Horatio's Garden is amazing cause, helping spinal patients across the UK gain access to the outdoors during their prolonged hospitalisation. As patients are often shut indoors for months during their recovery, these gardens are invaluable for the patients' physical and mental wellbeing. It also provides visiting family members and friends a peaceful space to spend time with the spinal patients outside the hospital rooms. The charity was started in memory of Horatio Chapple, a family friend who had volunteered at his local spinal unit and was the inspiration for the first garden in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Currently, Horatio's Garden is fundraising to build their fifth garden at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, North London. The charity's aim is to build a garden in every spinal unit across the UK. Any donation would help achieve this goal.
I am a second year economics student at UCL. Until now, I have mainly participated in various racquet sports, such as badminton and tennis. The London Landmark Half Marathon marks my first major venture into the world of running. My goal is to complete the half marathon in a time of 1 hour 40 minutes, and so I am training hard to achieve this.
