London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

Story

Ten Years ago, we started with just one school and a cluster of young people with learning difficulties. Today we have in the region of sixty schools on our books: we have reached out to young people, from all walks of life and circumstance, offering them an interest and an opportunity to learn through angling. In that process, I have learnt so much about me. I have been forced to reevaluate, reassess and realise  that life is not cosy nor comfortable for many young people. I am determined, at the age of 64, to make a difference. The London marathon is just one shout of defiance and a huge celebration for the young people of the British isles. They are worth every vestige of my effort. Please help...

About the charity

Many children and young people know little about the countryside and rural way of life. Its programme of educational initiatives will introduce them, and their teachers, to the beauty, importance and diversity of our rural heritage, inspiring them to become passionate about its future and protect it for future generations.
