Story
"Birchwood TLC-Live Cycling", has taken up the challenge, laid down by our collegues at Teacher Peloton, to ride our longest ride of the year on (or around) the longest day. So we took up the challenge and decided to ride from Mr Gilbank's old school in Pickering, North Yorkshire to Mr William-Powlett's old school in Newport, Essex. A distance of 200 miles. In 1 day!
As teachers and educators we know the pressures that schools are under and we also know what a relief cycling is from the pressures of the job. We also know that it is not for everyone. So we would like to support, "Education Support", the only charity offering free support for those working in education, by asking people to back us on our ride! Anything you can give will be massively appreciated.
Education Support is the only UK charity dedicated to the mental health and wellbeing of education staff in schools, colleges and universities. We provide a free 24/7 helpline and financial grants. We support individuals in crisis, help to improve workplace culture, and work with policymakers to improve our education system.
