Story

This months charity benefit is for a local charity based in London its been running for years.

There are people around us struggling and in need of food banks

Without fail every week SWAN (Southern Womens Aid Network) provide:

* 100+ meals from our soup kitchen outside Thornton Heath masjid,

*over 20+ food parcels from the foodbank in Streatham Masjid,

* Distributions of clothes, food and shoes from our shop to refugees/asylum seekers.

*Ad hoc support to families struggling on our doorsteps.

*1000s of bread to refugees in Lesvos.

We are a dedicated charity providing life-saving aid to those in need Our team is made up of all women spearheading change We provide vital aid to individuals and families in need of financial, material and emotional support. We are making a difference to those suffering in our communities and internationally. What we do every week: - We have been running a foodbank in London for over 8 years. - We have provided 100+ door steps to indivduals and families who have been impacted by Covid19 restrictions. - We support countless people living in a temporary housing unit in South London with fresh fruit and vegetables and cooked food every week. - We provide practical and financial support to vulnerable famlies in the UK - We provide bread to thousands of refugees in Moria Camp, Lesvos, Greece 4 times a week. - We provide emergency food packs to new arrivals and vulnerable families in and around Moria Camp, Lesvos, Greece.
