We rescue and rehabilitate India's wildlife to protect its diverse natural heritage

Story

I've been growing my hair for over two years now but the time has come for the chop! I'm donating the hair to the Little Princess Trust, who provide real hair wigs for children and young people who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses.

I'm getting all of my hair shaved so that as much as possible can be used. In doing so, I'd like to try raising some funds towards Wildlife SOS, a charity based in India who protect wildlife and wild animals rescued from abusive tourism situations, in particular elephants, sloth bears and leopards.

I spent time with this wonderful organisation in India last year, before the pandemic struck. Since then Wildlife SOS have had to close their doors to volunteers in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Wildlife SOS have carried on their brilliant work throughout this time, despite the immense challenges of COVID-19 in India. They have continued looking after animals in their care as well as their operations to rescue wildlife, such as leopards and snakes, from human-wildlife conflict situations.

Closing their doors to volunteers has been a necessity, however, it's meant that one of their biggest ways to fund their work has been absent.

I'd be extremely grateful for any donations towards keeping up funding this brilliant work for India's wildlife... THANK YOU!
