Great North Run 2010 · 19 September 2010 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Update on 3 September: race numbers and chips arrived today. Training has gone well so far, we've clocked 96 miles since the beginning of July, and have one last long run to complete before we taper. Thank you all for donations so far.

Mind, body, spirit, we will need them in good shape for our 4th Great North Run. 13.1 miles by two old crocks, we are not expecting a record time. Last year we raised £1800 for Alzheimers. This year it is the turn of the Stroke Association.

Please support this important charity if you can.

Thank you

Celia and David- the veteran running team
