On October 7 I will be undertaking the challenge of completing the 13.1 miles of the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

 

I am doing this for a number of different reasons; to exercise, to raise money for Cancer Research but the most important is in celebration of a fantastic friend.  

Aletta was diagnosed with a brain tumour in the summer of 2009. The strength and courage that she displayed during the operations, the many rounds of chemo and the completing of her degree, has been an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to have spent time with her. We all miss her and her vibrant love of life.
