Story
In June this year, myself and a few others will be heading off to Morocco to tackle the highest Mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal, to raise money and awareness for the A21 Campaign. The Summit of Mount Toubkal is 4167m above sea level (the equivalent of 4 Ben Nevis’ stacked on top of each other) and will take us 5 days to ascend.
The A21 Campaign exists to end Human Trafficking in the 21 Century. Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings and affects every nation across the globe. With approximately 27million slaves across the world it is estimated that every 30 seconds, someone becomes a victim of modern-day slavery. A21 work to educate the potential victims of human trafficking, equipping the young with the knowledge to avoid becoming victims, and raise awareness in communities. They also aid in the rescue, protection and restoration of survivors by providing safe houses, education and vocational training, and skills required to move toward a new future and see them restored physically and emotionally. The A21 Campaign also aids in the prosecution of traffickers by providing legal counsel to survivors and by helping to change legislation.
Together we can help Stop this. Please support us in our challenge to climb a really big mountain by sponsoring us.
