Catriona passed away in hospital on Saturday May 13^th 2023 at the age of 49 due to complications arising from pneumonia and sepsis. 

We are asking for donations for Garvald Edinburgh in Catriona’s memory.

Catriona attended Garvald for around thirty years, participating in painting, tapestry, puppet-making, woodwork, weaving and kitchen workshops. Garvald supported Catriona to produce art with a range of materials, recognising and nurturing her creativity and talent, even when her needs became more complex after a stroke in 2008. Catriona is showcased on Garvald’s website here: http://www.garvaldedinburgh.org.uk/impact/catriona/ Her weaving has been sold and exhibited at the Botanic Garden and at the Royal Highland Show, and of course, anyone who has been to Morag or Alan’s house will have seen Catriona’s many talents on display. 

Catriona was so happy, supported and loved at Garvald, we are asking you to give generously in Catriona’s memory so that the amazing staff can continue to assist and care for others.
