At the end of May, I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon in support of Theirworld, a wonderful global children's charity committed to ending the global education crisis and unleashing the potential of the next generation. 

Over the past 10 years, Theirworld has been campaigning, innovating, and engaging with government and businesses, leading to initiatives that have helped more than 4.5 million children to go to school. 

Even before the pandemic there were 260 million children out of school across the world. If we take no action, by 2030, 825 million children - half of all young people globally - will not have the most basic skills necessary to be part of the workforce. Every penny raised will help us achieve our mission to give every child the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for the future.
