Help us get closer to a future where children don’t have to face mental health struggles alone!
On Sunday the 24th September 2023, school teachers Cathy and Claire are running the Berlin Marathon to raise money for Place2Be - an amazing charity who provide mental health support in schools through vital counselling and training.
Against a backdrop of an on-going pandemic and challenging economic times, we hope you can help us support Place2Be’s mission to provide a space where pupils feel connected to one another and to their learning environment, enabling them to flourish at school and beyond.
A few statistics:
- 50% of those with lifetime mental health problems first experience symptoms by the age of 14.
- After Place2Be counselling, 76% of children with severe difficulties show an improvement in mental health.
- Last year, Place2Be worked with 500 schools and supported 243,000 children and young people.
- Over 67,000 teachers and other professionals and accessed Place2Be’s Mental Health Champions Foundations programme.
Every donation Place2Be receive makes a valuable difference to the work they do in supporting young people - our goal is to raise £1,800!
