I’m running in the London Marathon on 3rd October 2021, to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age, and are responsible for more cancer related deaths in the under 40s than any other form of cancer. This clinical field remains underfunded, with just 1% of the national spend for cancer research being allocated to this disease. This charity is very close to my heart, and I hope to do a little bit to help.

Running the London Marathon is going to be really tough for me (my first full marathon at the grand age of 56!) but hopefully I’ll get round in one piece.
