London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page raising money for the MND Association. On Sunday 23rd April I hope to run the iconic London Marathon to continue to raise funds for MNDA in memory of my brave Dad.

This time I will be fundraising with a difference as I have said previously that I will only continue to ask for sponsorship for an increasingly harder event. The London Marathon is undoubtedly a very challenging event however, unless it takes me more than 14 hours (which I sincerely hope not as I plan a fancy dress twist but not a full diver's outfit!) it does not fit my original criteria. Therefore we shall be hosting a Boat Race Party on Victory and entirely voluntarily guests may wish to donate to my page.

So far I have raised £29,423 for my Dad's Tribute fund and it would feel such an achievement to reach the £30,000 mark. I feel very honoured to be running the marathon for the MNDA and it means so much to me and my family to be able to support the incredible work of the association. Dad endured his condition with the utmost bravery and humour and I remain so grateful for all the sponsorship and support of my wonderful family, friends and the MNDA.

Best wishes

Cathy xx
