Skydive for Cancer Research UK - Sunday 8th June 2014 at Black Knights Parachute Centre, Lancaster.
Text: "JETX83 £Amount" to 70070
Anyone who knows me knows I hate flying and I hate heights! Whenever I see people on TV skydiving it makes me feel physically sick. So why on earth would I want to get on an airplane and jump out of it?!
Well since my amazing, beautiful and incredibly brave Mum was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus, somehow freefalling to earth from three miles above sea level at 120mph doesn't seem that big a deal anymore! And since we were told that Mum's cancer is inoperable, I'm willing to do all the above and do it with a smile on my face in order to raise money for Cancer Research in her honour.
My awesome Mum is one tough cookie and she refuses to be beaten - so I'm following her example and refusing to let my fear of heights stop me from chucking myself out of a plane! I'm sure when skydive day arrives I'll be looking pretty green around the gills but if it helps to find the cure for this cruel disease that bit sooner, then I'm willing to push through the fear so that maybe one day we can all live without fear of cancer. To everyone who sponsors me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This is for you, Mumra.
