Story

Last year my dear sister Paula contracted a rare and nasty disease called Cardiac Amyloidosis. We had high hopes that she would make a recovery but rather shockingly she died on September 18 2012. For those of you who have known us both I think you’d agree that of the two of us Paula was the more energetic and athletically gifted. However, Stan/Richard threw down the gauntlet to ‘Do Some Distance’ for Paula, so on November 24 I am going to run (well that’s what I call it) the Southwold 10k. Others have, and will, run further but I’m confident that no-one has sweated more!

At the time of Paula’s death Winton’s Wish, a child bereavement charity, was very helpful to Stan, Holly and Sam, so on 24 November I will be running (again that word!) to raise money for them in Paula’s memory.

If Paula were here I think she would be somewhat bemused and amused at my efforts but I know she also would have supported and encouraged me. I miss her every day.

Please would you sponsor me, in her memory, for a very worthwhile cause. Thank you.
