For the past 25 years, the JoLt Trust has taken countless disadvantaged, ill and disabled teenagers on journeys of a lifetime. During these month-long expeditions to remote places like Alaska and the Andes they learn confidence, trust, respect, self-worth and teamwork.

Story

Picture from a cold training day shows Emma (Trustee of JoLt), Vivien, Selena, me and Livvy - plus of course my dog Blue, who was trying to make sure he got into the photo. Unfortunately he can't come with me to Nepal!

On 16 March 2019 I will be travelling to Nepal with four other women to trek in the Helambu region. We will be walking for up to eight hours a day, sometimes at high altitude, and staying in local communities. Our journey will also involve several days' off-road cycling and white water rafting.

Every penny I raise in sponsorship will go towards helping disabled and disadvantaged youngsters to go on their 'journey of a lifetime' thanks to the JoLt Trust. Every two years this charity takes a group of 14-18 year olds on a month-long expedition designed to challenge and test
them at a pivotal point in their personal development.

This is my third trip for JoLt and I really appreciate all the support. Please help us to continue this great work. It costs £5,000 to take each youngster on an expedition and we need to secure funding for 2020.
