🏃‍♀️I am running the Great North Run in September to raise money for York Special Care Baby Unit. When my granddaughter, Isabel, was born two months early she was cared for in York SCBU for 5 weeks. 👶Everything within this unit is bought with money raised through fundraising. Isabel was in intensive care and even the ventilator used within this unit was bought through funds from the support group. Whilst being ventilated Isabel became very ill and the care given ultimately saved her life. 👶💗

Isabel will be  5 in August and is thriving and loving life. I would like to give other families and babies this opportunity whilst also thanking the team and hospital for the amazing care they gave 5 years ago.
