Story
Mark and I are walking up (and down!) Snowdon on Saturday June 18th to raise money through sponsorship for the Love Hope Strength Foundation. This is the charity set up by Mike Peters - the lead singer of The Alarm who had hits in the 1980's with songs such as Rain in the Summertime, 68 Guns and The Spirit of '76. Mike made a recovery from lymph cancer in 1996 but then found that in 2005 he had chronic lymphocytic leukaemia from which he made a full recovery although recently this has returned but is once again being kept stable with some new drugs. In spite of all this Mike continues to tour and will be joining us for the walk up and down Snowdon (as he does every year) with a few hundred others and playing some songs along the way and then a small gig at the top.
