Bupa Great South Run 2009 · 25 October 2009 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I am running the Bupa Great South Run in aid of the Alzheimer's Society because I have personally seen the anguish caused by Alzheimer's, when my husband Steve's Grandmother sadly suffered with this disease. So many people are, or will be affected by this disease in their lifetime and there is currently not enough understanding of the disease and there is no cure. So this is my little effort to raise some money to go towards helping those currently suffering and to research to find a cure.

For some people 10 miles might not seem far, but for me it will be long and painful!

So please dig deep and donate now.
