Story
This seemed like a good way of keeping fit through the summer, learning some new skills and helping others in the process. For Anna and Annie it is their first triathlon, only my second, so lots to learn and plenty of nerves.
To say training has been sporadic over the summer would be an understatement; swimming in murky lakes and the un-heated Lido, riding in the pouring rain, transporting lacrosse sticks on bikes to get a ride in during lax camp, and the odd run. But we will make it to the start line and knees permitting, I will make it to the finish!
All profits raised by The Woburn Abbey Triathlon are donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital & Melanoma Focus Cancer Research. We are lucky enough never to have needed GOSH but the work they do is fantastic and worth supporting any time. After this long hot summer, even those of us who moved to England from Australia will be ever more conscious of melanoma! So very happy to support these two charities.
Thanks for any support
