As some people are aware, my lovely brother Michael suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2013, due to a condition known as cerebral arteriovenous malformation (or AVM for short).
The Brain & Spine Foundation provide help, information and support to those affected by such neurological conditions. I have found their online publications and resources very helpful during a particularly difficult time for our family.
5 years ago I set myself a target of running a mile, without stopping - so to now be running 26 miles without stopping is a huge personal achievement for me. To be able to combine this with raising money for a cause close to my heart is a real privilege and I'm planning to do my very best to make the £1800 fundraising target!
