Story
Catherine:-
I lost both my Grandparents to cancer which is a cruel disease. Grandma died in hospital in 2005. Grandad was diagnosed in December 2008 and died in January 2009.
He was cared for at home by the family in his last days. Although we did not make full use of the hospice services on a couple of occassions hospice nurses came out to the house. They offered the chance for relatives to get a night sleep but also gave quality care and attention.
Doing the memory walk is a way of saying thank you for that little bit of help that made a big difference.Hospices do not receive government funding and really need donations to offer help to those in need.
Liza:-
I wanted to join Catherine in the Moonlight Walk to support Nottinghamshire Hospice as it gives very precious help to patients and families when they need it most.
We have been training for the 10km walk for a while now and throughly enjoy our walks and natters as we pound the streets! Please help us to raise funds as we walk - it doesn't have to be a big donation, just £1 would help us on way to reaching our total x
