Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am trying to raise money for a very worthy cause supporting patients with kidney problems of varying degrees including pre-dialysis, dialysis and transplant patients.
Thank you all so so much for your kind generosity, I am delighted with how much you have given and no doubt this will make a great difference. Many many thanks!
UPDATE 3 - Hurray, finished the York run in 65 mins, not as fast as I would have liked but it was a hot day!
UPDATE 2 - I completed the Leeds run in 68 mins (harder run with what felt like hills when I was running!) - Two down, one left to go!!
UPDATE 1 - I completed the Hull run in 63 mins - a personal best!! It certainly helped knowing that my sponsorship is going to make a difference.
I am raising money for the St. James’s Kidney Patients Association and am part of a "Team" running to achieve the following aims.
Firstly, to raise money for the provision of TV's for dialysis patients in the Leeds and surrounding areas. This will enable replacement and updating of old TV's made obsolete by the forthcoming digital changeover. TV's are a lifeline for those receiving dialysis treatment lasting several hours, three times per week.
Secondly, to increase awareness and promote the value of signing up to the NHS Organ Donor Register.
I will be raising sponsorship by running the "Jane Tomlinson, Run for All" series of 10K runs in Hull (15th May), Leeds (19th June) and York (31st July) - I've certainly set myself a challenge this year!!!
Please, can you continue to help me to raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause. Thank you so much, Catherine.
