Story
Although we have all had a very different year we are so very fortunate. We have warm and comfortable homes, food and clean water and family, work opportunities (even if it is tough right now) and our children are in education.
In Calcutta's largest slum (as with many other places in the world) the people there have none of these 'luxuries'. They live in very squalid conditions with little food or fresh water and little opportunity to work. Worse the children in this slum have no eduction so no chance to change things for the next generation.
FUTURE HOPE aim to change this! They provide children with somewhere safe and secure to live (7 homes) and a school with currently 250 pupils where they can be properly educated. Much more than that they provide hope where there is little....
I currently teach 22 pupils at The Little Maths Room and an education at FUTURE HOPES school costs just £106 per child. I would love to raise £2332 to send the equivalent 22 children to school.
Many thanks for your support.
