The Cape Wrath Ultra is an expedition race, running from Fort William to Cape Wrath. Covering 400km (250 miles) the route winds its way up through the Scottish Highlands over 8 days. Billed as the U.K. equivalent to the Marathon de Sable, the route also climbs over 11,000m of ascent. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function.
