Ian and I will be running in the British 10k race in London again this year and trying valiantly to beat our 2009 time. Many of you will know that I work for Cruse, but the real reason that I raise money for this charity is because I see every day the incredible care and compassion that the 6000 amazing people (and over 5700 of them are unpaid volunteers) involved in Cruse give to people at the very worst time of their lives - when they have lost someone they loved.

Over 100,000 bereaved people ask for our help every year. We could help many more with extra resources. Your donation will be shared between the national organisation and my local Cruse Branch (Cumbria) who do incredible work right across the county.
