Carrington House has chosen to give to a charity that is close to our hearts, namely the National Deaf Children’s Society. NDCS’ vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child   and their mission is to overcome the social and educational barriers that hold deaf children back. This charity is particualrly close to home as two of our own Carringtonians live with hearing impairments. William Macpherson (CA L6th) and Geordie Maclay (CA 4th) make use of Cochlear Implants and Hearing Aids respectively to allow them to hear fully. It is through the amazing work of charities like NDCS that young people like them are able to take such a full part in school life. We would hope that through our efforts in running and your generosity, many more children with hearing impairments will be able to benefit from not only advancements in technology in this field but the support and care that charities like NDCS provide.
