Story
Hi
My friend Sarah and I are doing the Great North Run this year to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign charity.
We'll be lining up on 19 September to give it a go - all 13 miles / 21 kilometres of it. Yikes!
It's longer than I've ever run before and there are a few too many hills for my liking, but I'll give it my best shot. If a 90 year-old in a gorilla costume can manage it, then I have no excuse.
I'm running to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign - the charity funds world-class research to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with 46,000 people (men and women) diagnosed each year and over 12,000 dying from the disease.
No donation amount is too little, so anything you can give would be so much appreciated by me and everyone at the charity.
Thanks so much in advance and I look forward to letting you know that I crossed the finish line in one piece.
Big Big Thanks and wish me and my blisters luck :)
Carolyn
