Story
Thank you for visiting our page! The story behind this adventure starts with three siblings - Steve, Carolyn and Fiona - who intially wanted to take on this challenge together to follow in the footsteps of our father, David, who regularly completed the 14 peaks in June, before he began to suffer from Parkinson's Disease. More information on the Welsh 3000s, as it is sometimes called, can be found at www.welsh 3000s.co.uk or at www.14peaks.com . We all three have happy memories of our childhood summers spent climbing all the mountains in North Wales with him (though never all on the same day before!) We sometimes found ourselves in hairy situations, as he always felt it was more interesting for us not to be on the path, and he always has been and still is an inspiration to us (I can never forget traversing Crib Goch aged 9 years on a family day out climbing the Snowdon Horseshoe! - Carolyn). Unfortunately only Steve is super-fit enough to be able to complete the challenge this year and he is joined by friend and colleague Jonathan. Please support us with a message of encouragement and/or as little or as much as you can give!
