Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been linked to Claire House Children’s Hospice for a little over five years now, and I've never ceased to be overwhelmed by the stories I've heard about the families who visit there. They know all about 'going without' – to go without a proper night’s sleep, without proper family meal time together, they don’t go a day without worrying. 

It’s a small gesture, but I think it is about time I went without.  At a weekend I enjoy a little tipple of a decent Chardonnay or Malbec, or a maybe a little glass of fizz – but during September I’m going dry, and I’m inviting my friends and family to buy me a virtual dry drink and to make a gift to Claire House. 

I know that your gift will be used wisely to help the children, young adults and their families who visit Claire House. For example your gift may help a family get some respite, so parents can enjoy a decent night’s sleep or a family can relax, around a table all eating a yummy home cooked meal that has been prepared for them.  Your gift may go towards a session in the fantastic hydrotherapy pool, or an adventure in the sensory room.  Claire House can't take the worry away, but they can hold a hand  . . .
