Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On 23rd March we will be attempting to hitchhike as far away from Leeds as possible in only 36 hours, without spending a single penny of our own money. We will be counting on lifts, trains and even planes to get as far away as we possibly can - who knows where we will end up? No money will be spent on travel unless we collect any donations during the 36 hours.
Thank you for any donations, we really, really appreciate your help!
In supporting Cancer Research UK you will be contributing to the worthwhile research which is helping more and more people survive the fight against cancer. We have chosen to support Cancer Research UK because it is something which affects lots of people. It is our personal ambition to contribute to Cancer Research and extend and better the lives of those affected. Therefore any donations, big or small, will reiterate our cause and will be greatly appreciated on all accounts, thank you!
Jailbreak is a hitch activity provided by Leeds RAG (raising and giving) at the University of Leeds. It's a competition where teams work together to raise money for a charity of their choice, ours is Cancer Research UK. Each team has to raise at least £350 to be able to participate in Jailbreak. Once teams have reached this target, on March 23rd they will all meet outside Parkinson steps and set off at 09.00 and have 36 hours to get as far from Leeds as possible! They will not be able to use the money they have raised- all the money you donate will go directly to the charity. We have to try to get FREE lifts, trains, boats or planes to get out of the country. The team to travel the furthest often receives extra funding for their charity from their sponsors, and receives a prize from Leeds RAG.
